Digital Only Magazine Covers

I have been seeing a few articles crop up online about this and every time I do I get so angry and upset. In recent years, magazines have been massively shifting to online and they have been trying to be innovative coming up with ways to stay current. This seems to be the newest craze… digital ONLY magazine covers. The magazine will unveil their cover on social media, usually Instagram. The most-liked Instagrams we put up are our covers,” said GQ Style‘s editor-in-chief.

I personally don’t understand why magazines are choosing to do this. If they have a physical copy of a magazine and also have that easy to access online then that is understandable but I don’t understand the point of having something that is digital only. I have always been a magazine lover simply because I love being able to turn the pages and really see the images, I also love to rip pages out to keep for inspiration! So I do get upset at the prospect of magazines being completely wiped out…
