Fashion and April Fools

I love April Fools day, its such a fun day and I’ve always wished I could come up with a funny prank to fool a friend or family member. However, as I’m never funny enough or brave enough I’ve stuck to just looking online at what other people do on April 1st. And in recent years more and more brands are getting involved so I decided to take a look at some of the best pranks that ‘fashion’ has done.
In 2015 Hunter Boots released an image on their Instagram claiming to sell Dog boots! I can imagine some people were highly excited about this. Ted Baker also took to instagram to introduce their brand new ‘adjustable heels’. Doesn’t that actually sound like a good idea…

Warby Parker seem to be avid lovers of a prank. They are an eyewear brand and they have always been super creative with their advertising and marketing. A few years a go they announced the ‘Dogocle’ a monocle for your furry friend! Their most recent prank was saying that they were teaming up with a fast food company for their newest collaboration (this one didn’t get many laughs, as it didn’t really make sense).

Some other fashion pranks that I came across included Sephora’s ‘Full-Face Makeup Mask’. Where you put on a face mask and leave it for 10 minutes and when you remove it you have a full face on flawless makeup… Fashion new site HYPEBEAST announced their plans to launch new site called YEEZYBEAST which is full of Kanye West related news (personally I would love this one). And the last prank that I loved was H&M’s collaboration with none other than Mark Zuckerberg, the collection includes grey t shirts and bootcut jeans, a classic Zuckerberg look.
