Nottingham Night Out

Moving to Nottingham in September I was excited for many things. My course, meeting new people, living away from home, and this new city that I would call home. Where I live now the closest city is Birmingham but I’ve been going there all my life and I feel that there isn’t much for me to explore now. However Nottingham is full of little side streets and bars. In the first few months my flat mates and I stuck to the usual popular clubs such as Ink, Rock City, Pryzm and the NTU SU. We then started hearing about some little cocktail bars that sounded right up our street. We had a girls night to a club called Coco Tang which is known for its incredible cocktails such as the Regina George which comes with an edible Burn Book, my personal favourite is the very strong Fight Club cocktail which also comes with an edible bar of soap (made entirely of icing sugar).

A few nights ago we decided to do a bit of a cocktail bar crawl. We started at the Alchemist. The drinks there are incredible! You can get colour changing drinks, or taste changing! I opted for a glittery drink…

We then moved onto the Hockley Arts Club. I’ve been here before on a Saturday night and it turns into a bit of a club, however we went on a Wednesday and it was so nice. We sat down and could have a chat and the cocktails in there were so fun! We had a twister which is a cocktail that comes with a twister ice cream.

So then after this we went to Coco Tang and had a dance there as Wednesday night is student night! Again I had the Fight Club cocktail which was a mistake as I had to be up at 9am the next morning. All in all, we had such a fun night and I can’t wait to continue exploring Nottingham next year.
