Secrets of Blogging

First ever tag time!

1 – When did you start blogging and why? I actually started blogging a few years back maybe 2010? I didn’t have any structure or schedule I would just write when I wanted to and I really loved it but after awhile the fact that not many people were reading it got to me and I couldn’t be bothered? I know thats the wrong attitude but I was only 11 at the time. However I really started to miss it so I re-made my blog in February 2013 but I’ve only started to post regularly this year and I love it so much! I do want to have a career in journalism and I think this is a great platform for practice! Unfortunately life got in the way AGAIN, but now its a requirement of my uni course so I’m definitely going to stick at it this time… you can hold me to that…

2 – How many people in ‘real life’ know about your blog? Actually pretty much everyone! I’m always writing posts so my flat mates always come in and are keen to see what I’m writing about! My Mom is also subscribed so every time I write a post she gets an email, how cute is that? I didn’t even know you could do that!

3 – What are your favourite posts to read? Outfit posts for inspiration! Also I love reading blogs of the people on my course and I love their opinion posts, its so interesting to see what other people think about important issues.

4 – Which posts are you proud of? Fashion Calendar Chaos – as stated in that post it was my favourite lecture and I was so excited to tell everyone I knew about it so I was so proud of the post because I can now read it forever and I think I put it all into my own words!

The Assassination of Gianni Versace – I found this one so interesting to research about and I love the look of the post!

Ted Talks 3D Printing Clothes – Again I’m proud of this one mainly because I enjoyed writing it and learning about it! It was also fun to watch an episode of TED and write down some notes and opinions!

5 – Any advice for future bloggers?  Keep at it! I know that barely anyone reads my blog and sometimes it all feels a bit pointless but don’t let that discourage you because at the end of the day if you love this hobby then thats all that matters! Thats another thing if you don’t enjoy it it’s probably not for you, and I know thats the last thing you wanna hear because everyone wants to be blogging or vlogging but I promise you’ll find your ‘thing’ if it’s something you wanna do rather than something that feels like a chore then you’ve found your muse.
