The Long Awaited Photoshoot!

Moving onto the Outcomes stage, we knew we wanted to create an event, some digital work, and some adverts. To help aid these we decided to do a small photoshoot so we could gather some images to use as promotion.
We did some research into what older women like to see in adverts (as our consumer is middle aged Mothers). We found that they dislike adverts that show women in because they find it hard to relate as women in adverts usually look perfect. Instead we agreed to focus on the ingredients in our fragrances as Mothers like to know what is in the products that they use.
We had decided on our colour palette during the last stage. As we are planning to have a night range and a day range our colours try to resemble that. Our ‘day’ colours were orange, pink and yellow. And our ‘night’ colours were red, navy and burgundy. We then went to the park to find flowers that corresponded with these colours, we followed this up by going to the shops and buying lots of fruit, herbs and vegetables that went well with our chosen colours.
The day of the photoshoot we went into the studio and were given 10 minutes to set up. To do this we lined up boxes (that had been covered in our colours) and we strategically placed our collected flowers, herbs and fruits around and on the boxes. The main focus was a small vase full of water and our ‘ingredients’.
We played around with lighting so we got over 60 photographs. We love how they turned out but its now time for us to edit them on Photoshop. Here are some behind the scenes pictures and I’ll be sure to post the finished images.
